The smoking habit really is nothing more then a time bomb. It is planted in young people, usually in their teens, and starts ticking away. And, when it's ready, it explodes. When it does, it does so with a devastating bang. I think it would be quite impossible to calculate the number of smoking related deaths that occur, worldwide, each year.

Yes, I've heard the old smokers' refrain, "You've got to die of something"

Sure you have. But why go out of your way looking for an extremely painful way of ending your days? And prematurely too. Anyone who has seen a friend      or relative die in hospital while suffering from lung cancer will know just what the above means.

 If you are a smoker your chances of cancer are five times as great as those of the non-smoker. And we're not just talking about cancer of the lungs.

There's cancer of the lungs, yes, but also cancer of the throat, mouth, tongue, liver and cancer of the kidneys. According to sex there’s a grave risk of cancer of the prostate or cancer of the breasts. The smoker also runs an enormous risk of heart and circulatory diseases, which are also killers.

Apart from all this, just think of the thirty or so chemicals, including arsenic and cyanide, which you are sucking into your mouth and so many times each day. It is really a form of slow suicide. You're killing yourself a little bit each day.

Most smokers know all this but it doesn’t seem to worry them. These facts don't make them want to stop smoking. No, they just want to continue and according to them, enjoy their tobacco.

Well, you're different, or you would not be reading this.

You want to break away completely from this disgusting, smelly, filthy and dangerous habit. You may have tried before and failed. Don't  worry you can do it.  You can do it with the incredible power of hypnosis and hypnotherapy. However you need    one most important component-the 'Want To' factor. You’ve got to really WANT TO.

Well hypnotherapists have something in common with supermarkets like Mercadona or Eroski , there’s usually one near you. Some therapists are very spiritual people and this reflects in there manner of working. Other hypnotherapists are very 'down to earth' or 'matter of fact' in their approach.    Either way it is important that he, or she, is a caring person.  It is also most important that you have a therapist with whom you are comfortable.

Hypnotherapy has enormous potential and it harnesses the awesome power of the subconscious mind, through the use of suggestion and visualisation, to bring about the desired changes in your behaviour. Stopping smoking is a change in behaviour, is it not?

It's up to you. Decide that you really want to quit smoking. Make sure that you've got lots of the 'want to' factor and then, don't just sit there, listening to that ticking bomb. GO FOR IT.
